At B5 Automotive, family means everything, and our story has given us a purpose that reaches far beyond the work we do every day.
After our daughter’s life-saving kidney transplant, we experienced firsthand the incredible power of organ donation, not only in saving a life but in restoring hope and strength to families during their most difficult moments. Her journey opened our eyes to how deeply transplant patients and donors need support, both emotionally and financially, as they recover and rebuild their lives.
Our family partnered with Yale to help kidney transplant patients and their families with essential needs, from medical costs and prescriptions to mental health resources and time off work to heal. We also aim to raise awareness and funds for the life-changing impact of living donor transplants and for the continued care that both recipients and donors often require long after surgery.
For us, this isn’t just a cause, it’s a responsibility. When someone gives your child the gift of life, you carry that gratitude forever. Our family is dedicated to honoring that gift by supporting others who walk this same path and by spreading awareness that organ donation truly saves lives.

We are overwhelmed with gratitude for the incredible people who played a part in saving our daughter Sydney’s life—not once, but twice. Born with congenital kidney issues, her future was uncertain from the very beginning. However, thanks to the exceptional team at Boston Children’s Hospital, she received the precious gift of life through a 14-hour surgery that reconstructed her kidneys.
In June 2024, Sydney underwent her second life-saving procedure, a kidney transplant we had long anticipated. We are deeply thankful to the team at the Yale New Haven Transplant Program for their compassionate care and exceptional expertise during this surgery. Our endless gratitude goes to her father, Brian, who was a match and selflessly gave her the gift of life once again. Being a donor is no small feat, and words cannot fully capture the depth of emotion, gratitude, and love that accompany such an extraordinary act.
We are committed to supporting the Yale New Haven Transplant Program. Sydney started this fundraiser on behalf of Yale to provide financial assistance to kidney transplant patients and their families. This support can help cover essential expenses, including insurance premiums, mortgage, and utility bills, and necessary prescriptions. Additionally, financial aid is available for organ donors if needed.
